Soft Landing Stables

About Soft Landing Stables

Soft Landing Stables, LLC, is a historic farm that previously served as a family cattle ranch purchased by the Dillon family in 1935.  The hand-built farmhouse, formerly known as Elizabeth Manor, saw the birth of many of the six family children and still stands on the property today.

Journalist Bonnie Erbé purchased the 40-acre farm in late 2006 after spending the prior 12 years as a boarder and deciding to pursue the development of an ideal facility consisting of the attentive care, structured training,  and spacious turnout that other facilities left to be desired.

As a new farm owner, Bonnie spent the better part of a year installing fencing, drilling a well and managing other major renovations in order to see her dream of a hunter-focused equestrian facility come to fruition.

Soft Landing Stables was licensed and officially opened its doors as a boarding facility in 2009. Soft Landing Stabl
es is now proud to be the facility of choice for a diverse group of equestrians, and their equine partners, coming from all backgrounds including eventers, hunters, jumpers, and dressage.
